Brian Sims’ autobiography, You Don’t Have to Be a Champion… to Be a Winner! gets featured in Historic Racing Technology Magazine. The magazine gave an insight into the book and presented a detailed description of the book title by the author himself. The feature began with the lines, “This fascinating life is documented in his autobiography, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A CHAMPION TO BE A WINNER.”
In his book, sharing his life journey of becoming the founder of HRA and attaining several achievements, Brian shares that his interest in motor racing began with a failure in his debut at a racing driver school. He further shares his amusing experiences of attaining sponsorships, that backed his finances which qualified his participation in such events.
Brian Sims enhanced his selling skills as a Xerox salesman which were efficacious in achieving sponsorship which helped him in his professional race-driving career. After heading Lola Ferrari and the Benetton Grand Prix teams as the marketing director, Kyalami F1 Circuit as the manager, he became the founder of Motorsport Industry Association and kept on adding achievements to his bag. Brian is currently living in Shrewsbury with his wife.
