The author Suzanne Smythe resides in Bruny Island which is located on the southeast coast of Tasmania. The author grew up fishing, shooting and floundering. Boys and girls were not discriminated in their profession. The author was only 12 and a half years old when she used to help her father. She remained a primary school teacher for about 30 years and now she is a grandmother of 2 children. Fishing is Suzanne’s passion so she likes spending time in boats. She also likes keeping dogs.
