Steph Newham recently launched her first collection of short stories, Lady with Edelweiss, at the Lockerbie Library. At the book launch, she discussed her writing process, took pictures with readers and distributed signed copies of her newest release.

Lady with Edelweiss is a compilation of gripping short stories with various subject matters discussed. This debut collection explores the strange nature of simple day-to-day life and the psychology of human nature through complex yet relatable characters. Newly published author Steph Newham resides in Southeast Scotland. She started writing after retiring from the NHS. She has had many articles published in newspapers, anthologies and magazines. She has also run workshops to mentor and encourage developing writers. Her love for writing led her to pursue a master’s in creative writing and publish her first book.
