Austin Macauley’s very talented author, R H Young, got featured by Hastings Independent with a review of his debut novel, Dhanmondi Road. The feature admired author’s writing skills in portraying honest and informative count of events that engulfed Bangladesh in the post-war era. The book, Dhanmondi Road, tells the story of the protagonist, Gareth McKinley, a young Australian who arrives in Bangladesh to work on a social project to set up an effective care system for the destitute children. The author paints a very realistic image of the post-war era, as the hollow remains of the country reek of danger and unsafe environment.

 

R H Young is an Australia-based writer and his background is mainly related to social work and university lecturing. He has been living in England since the 1990s.
