The Final Fence: Sophomores In The Saddle is a fictional novel about five university fellows who share the love of horses. Eddie Patrick and Danielle Lynn are in their sophomore year and they are graded on their relationship skills. The tale includes a chestnut horse called The Great Satan who marks the students according to their empathic abilities. The feel and tone of the novel is a great way for the new generation to learn about respect and the importance of thinking before one speaks.

Marc O'Brien is an American author and a communication artist from Barry University, Florida. He considers that empathic interpersonal skills are very essential in daily life, this and his love for horses and horse-riding encouraged him to write The Final Fence: Sophomores in The Saddle. The author resides in Las Vegas and has a collection of published novels that challenge the reader into learning from his work.
