Author Joan Shirley-Davies Was Featured in Shropshire Star Newspaper
On 23rd September 2019, Shropshire Star Newspaper issued an article in which Joan Shirley-Davies opened up about her book Alyona's Voice. Her book is a result of 100 years old love letters which she found very cute and lovely. 'These letters are very respectful for me and I’ll always keep them with me', said Joan. The article discussed her personal life, her acting career and transformation from a playwright to novelist.
Alyona's Voice is about Claudia a thirty-four years old lady. She is a textile restorer and believes that her feud with her cunning and self-absorbed mother, Elsa is a past story. But her mother comes back into her life to get Claudia’s inheritance. To protect and defend her legacy, Claudia takes a commission which further puts her in trouble as another person from past has returned and this time it is Fraser Gallier. Fraser and Claudia had shared a strong friendship in the past but she losses contact with Fraser which makes him upset. Fraser is now living in a house where Claudia has taken a commission. Gradually, Fraser starts to see things about Claudia that were hidden and every time, he learns something new about her which leaves him fascinated.
