Born and bred in Shepton Mallet, Somerset in 1944, Graham Sheppard always had a passion for sports, especially running. Throughout his teens, his interest varied and he switched to rowing and reached the semi-finals. He worked for Sun Life Assurance Society for 34 years. He currently resides in Cambridgeshire with his second wife, Ellie.
