Author Gerald Hogg Has Started Writing a Column for The Phuket News
Our author, Gerald Hogg, is now writing a bi-weekly column for Thailand’s local newspaper, The Phuket News. In the column titled The Expat Life, Gerald Hogg will be sharing his valuable experiences of living his life as a retired expat in the beautiful country of Thailand.

The Retire-in-Thailand Handbook (The First Six Months) is a travel guide that provides information to people who are planning to travel to Thailand or start living there after retirement. The author has shared his experiences of the first 6 months’ life as an expat in Thailand and the problems he had to overcome to establish himself in the Thai system.
Gerald Hogg was born in the UK. He migrated to Australia in 1974. Most of his life is spent on cruise ships, rig tenders, custom patrol vessels and oil tankers. He has also visited many countries and has lived in Jamaica, Bermuda, Singapore, the Falkland Islands, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and the USA when he worked as a chef. He has now retired and is living in Phuket, Thailand.
