The Author Fleur Baxter Attended World Book Day School Event at St. Michael’s School, Penkridge
World Book Day Event took place at St. Michael’s School, Penkridge on Thursday, 6th March 2020. The author Fleur Baxter addressed the whole school initially then started reading the book, The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep, to class 1. Then, she had lunch with the children during the reception. Later, she continued reading the book to year 2 and after that, she conducted the creative writing session with year 4. Spending the whole day there, she ended it up by capturing some moments with year 3 and 4.
The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep is about a boy who tries his best to sleep as the title of the book best defines the book’s theme. His mind becomes so loud at night that it’s hard to switch it off even if he wants to. Whenever he tries to close his eyes to sleep, his thoughts whirl around his mind and makes it so hard for him to sleep.
Fleur Baxter is the face behind Flowline’s Rhymes and Flowline Outdoor Life. The author lives with her engineer husband. She is a housewife and a mummy of two young sons. Being a family, they love going on adventures and walking the dogs out.
