Author Emily Scialom Featured in the Jewish Telegraph
Austin Macauley’s highly talented author, Emily Scialom got featured in the Jewish Telegraph. The author has been invited to ‘The LA Times Festival of Books’ in April to talk about her new release The River. The author is currently short of funds to manage a successful trip to Los Angeles and hopes to raise money through crowdfunding. The feature states, “Emily Scialom is hoping to head for the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles — if she manages to raise the funds.” The article dug deep into the troublesome life of the author after she lost her mother in 2003 and suffered a mental breakdown.
The River tells the story of Elizabeth Datson and John Cross, who had a successful marriage. In the craziness of the world we live in and the chaos of the 21st century Britain, the couple found themselves in the depths of emotional turmoil and pain. The story is a beautiful depiction of how the couple fought the challenges to rise above the distress, only to explore their profound love in its wildest forms.
Emily Scialom has a BA degree in Communications. As a poet, she was first published in 1992. She has written articles and features for different magazines and newspapers.
