Author of the book ‘My mommies and me’ was at Books & Books Bookstore at Suniland Shops for her book reading and book signing events. The author met the audience there and had a chit-chat with them regarding her new work and other future projects.

This is the story of a little kid, Egypt, who likes to play with his red truck and red plane. He wants to be like his mommy, Jazmin, who is a pilot herself.

Egypt’s friend Tommie has a mommy and daddy but he has two mommies and this is the thing which he ponders sometimes.

The book beautifully illustrates the concept of same-sex parenting and teaches the children that how people are different and also how we can accept those differences.

Egypt gets the concept of same-sex parenting very easily and he is very innocent and judgmental in his thoughts which teaches the adults a lesson that how it is normal to have a single parent, parents of the same or different gender.

The book explains a very common taboo of our society and contains a very strong message in a very blameless manner.

The author, Annie Casta, MD is a primary physician and she specializes in sports medicine. She has this utmost passion for the kids and athletics and as well as for her own family.
