Radio Interview of Amanda Kehoe the author of ‘TJ and his Wheelable Chair’ on KFm Radio. Amanda revealed that the story is inspired by her son Tadhg who has cerebral palsy. This book is nominated for the People’s Book Prize 2018.
This book delivers a message to the reader that if we put our mind to think that we can do something, we can make it happen, no matter what kind of circumstances. The story is of a boy named TJ who is bound to his wheelchair. Although he cannot talk or walk around, he still loves doing all fun activities with his friends, proving to everyone that disabilities are no obstacle when you want a joyous and satisfying life.
Amanda is born and raised in Ballinteer, a suburb of Dublin. She has attended the Dublin Business school, where she has studied Marketing, Advertisement, and Public Relations. Amanda had to give up working to take care of her son fulltime. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and development delay when he was 10 months old. Now Amanda is currently living with her husband and three beautiful children.
