‘Book from the Moorlands travels overseas,’ Nanny Sue Featured on Cheadle and Tean Times
A feature was published about Nanny Sue’s book, Jack, the Pirate with a Secret. The feature came out in the paper, Cheadle and Tean Times on Wednesday, the 3rd of March 2021. The feature wrote about the travel of Nanny’s book to Italy from Moorlands. This was made possible by a teacher who lived in Moorlands before moving to Italy, where he now works as a teacher. The teacher took the book along to include it in the teaching curriculum, for kids of all year groups. This is a great achievement since now the book would serve the purpose it actually was designed for.
Nanny Sue, herself, worked as a teacher and has inculcated a love for books in many children. Her pirate book is meant for teaching purposes since it ends on a note which can spark a healthy discussion between kids and the one who reads to them (a teacher, a parent or a care taker). She lives in the beautiful Moorlands and loves to travel. This has taken her to many fascinating places and into the oceans as well. Her book is a perfect read for young kids and is decorated with the adventures of a pirate named Jack.
