Rising from the Shadows
In this powerful and deeply personal memoir, Billy Smith shares the remarkable story of his spiritual awakening – a journey from the depths of depression to the light of faith. Struggling with feelings of hopelessness and a loss of purpose, Billy’s life was transformed when he embraced God’s love and guidance. Through his journey of healing and self-discovery, Billy learned that faith isn’t just a belief; it’s a source of strength, hope, and renewal.
As a devoted father and church volunteer, Billy now seeks to inspire others by sharing his testimony of overcoming life’s darkest moments. His story is a testament to the transformative power of love, forgiveness, and the belief that no one is beyond redemption. With honesty and vulnerability, Billy invites readers to reflect on their own lives, find their own spiritual path, and embrace the healing power of faith.
Rising From the Shadows is more than just a story, it’s a call to those who are searching for hope, those battling adversity, and those looking for a deeper connection with God. This memoir is a beacon of hope for anyone who believes that transformation is possible, no matter the obstacles.

Endless Suffering
Hanging out with street punks, I often see them acting like crazy people under the influence of illegal drugs. I got to know them because I thought they were people who, like me, lived in torment and were neglected.
I have heard every story of their lives. They left comfortable homes with sufficient food supplies, torturing themselves because they did not get enough attention from their parents.
The suffering they feel is nothing compared to what I have experienced. I live relying only on myself. If I kept hanging out with them, maybe I would lose myself – the only thing I truly have in my life. So, I decided not to spend time with them anymore. What I was looking for were friends who shared the same suffering as me, people who could support each other, exchange ideas, and offer mutual strength.
But until now, I have not found any friend whose suffering comes close to mine. Finally, I thought that maybe it would be good to write about my life journey. Everyone has their own suffering, but perhaps my life experiences could motivate others who are in despair.
Behind your suffering, there are many people suffering even more. Behind your happiness, there are people who are even happier. In this life, all you need is to be grateful and never lose yourself.

In His Service
Life is a journey. We all follow a path. There are times throughout our lives where we make deliberate choices about which path we take. There are other times that we just choose to let momentum take us – until we find we are not in control. And that scares us.
In this book, the author shares her journey with us. In her first book, Strong Deliverer, we see how an Almighty but loving God began to speak to her of His love for her when she became disabled and felt that all her life of worth and value was over. She found that this was not how He saw her… no matter what others thought of her.
This book takes us further along that journey… and opens up for us a way of joy and living that goes far beyond what this world and this life have for us.

The Christos Grail
What would you do if you were personally offered a psycho-spiritual destiny?
The author claims this happened to her in 1994. The invitation came in the form of a channelled psychic message when she consulted a New Age healer about her husband’s ill health. She was asked if she would like to become a ‘teacher of teachers’. Interpreting this to mean a career move into a university or some other august institution of higher learning, the author replied, “Yes, I’d like that.” Little did she understand what she’d agreed to.
The Christos Grail is an autobiographical account of the adventure which followed her husband’s death. She received regular channelled psychic feedback and clues from her Guiding Angel and late husband through many different human mediums. Her search for answers led her to Sophia, the Grail Goddess and the energy source of the Christos. She concluded that Christ-consciousness is another way of describing divine self-awareness, which is available to all who genuinely seek it.

Pandemic Stories
In that turmoil of the mind and the spirit, I felt that I could add another drop of water in the sea and make waves, by giving voice to those people who, seeing their past in perspective, had extraordinary experiences or emotions to share.
My sketchbook became a journal and my laptop a window through which, confined in an artist studio in Madrid, I could reach the outer world. I interviewed and sketched people from many different countries through videoconference, and when travelling was permitted, I did it from life. Eventually, I wrote each of their stories and shared them.
In order to counterbalance the bombarding negativity of the media, I felt that art needed to reach out and create hope. I wanted to make people feel listened to, to share their stories and portraits on social media to inspire reflection, empathy and growth. Humanity had never been so united before, it was a time to re-think our values system, and art needed to take action.

From Little Acorns…
Armed with a general nurse registration and a specialist theatre training in London, the author embarked into a career covering several years of practical experience, before moving into education and eventually senior management. Frequent challenges to her ideas and techniques meant pushing boundaries under restrictive managers, but her persistence paid off.
Having agreed to voluntarily teach home nursing and first aid to children in the global south, she found herself being thanked by the Dalai Lama in person for her work. Frequently she challenged authority where she felt it was necessary, and when she was confronted with mafia principles of priority it did not deter her from standing her ground as she fought for the rights of colleagues. Her students repeatedly claimed that her unique teaching methods should be adopted across the country.
The lack of finances in early development of the European Organisation found her using cheap travel with own snacks and drinks as she journeyed to meet Government Health representatives or European Union groups in her determination to seek recognition for OR Nursing. The book also covers some of the historical developments both in nursing and general life, in which her experience was based. She received many accolades, and valued awards from organisations and individuals throughout her life.

The Dingo Hunter
Laurie Corbett was born in Castlemaine, Victoria in 1941 and spent much of his early life catching wildlife to supplement the family diet and thus developed an understanding and love of the bush and its fauna. He joined the CSIRO Division of Wildlife Research to study dingoes and their prey in central Australia 1968-75 and later 1980-96 in Kakadu National Park.
Intervening those years, he studied Scottish wildcats and feral cats in Aberdeenshire and the Outer Hebrides. At that time, he regularly returned home for Christmas where, en route, he ‘discovered’ dingoes in Thailand and other South-east Asian countries; and subsequently made regular visits to study them resulting in a Whitley Award for his 1995 book The Dingo in Australia and Asia.
In 1997, he led ecological surveys at Bradshaw Field Training Area and at Christmas Island, and concurrently was a member of IUCN’s Canid Specialist Group with field work in Indonesia. In 2007, he formed his own consulting company to provide dingo management advice at mine sites in deserts throughout Australia. Throughout this journey, he met an incredible array of characters and experienced many unusual events, most pleasant but others not so.
This illustrated narrative provides research data in conjunction with the day-to-day joy, frustration and danger associated with working in outback Australia. Similarly, in relatively isolated regions of Thailand, Laos, and Burma where the English language is not spoken and unintentional non-compliance with local customs can have dangerous outcomes.
