An Impossible Quest

In this story set in the ‘Dark Ages’ of British history, two brothers – twins Alfred and Leofric – help win a tribal conflict, but faced with ‘a fate worse than death’, they take to the road. They are seeking adventure and fame and are faced with opposition when Alfred falls in love with a beautiful (aren’t they all?) princess. He is challenged to complete a quest to prove he is worthy of her. That’s when the difficulties begin.

An Open Verdict

Dr David seeks to establish the truth behind the unnatural cause of death of Stephen, one of his patients. He promises Stephen’s parents, that he would search out the explanation, having a strong suspicion that Stephen’s death was caused by a new psychiatric medication. Dr David did not realise that his quest for answers would lead to him being the target of an assassination attempt, and also endanger the lives of others. The story has many twists, unfolding to reveal a major pharmaceutical company’s cover up plot and attempt to conceal the truth using deadly force. Police involvement in the case introduces Dr David to a soulmate and romance.

And Man Created Eve

The time is the future. Robots are doing the work previously performed by humans. The replacement of workers by robots is both predictable and inevitable. The owner of the largest robotics company in the world decides to create the perfect woman. He hires the best engineer to construct her body, and the best programmer to construct her brain. He buys an island and changes its name to Eden Island. He names the plan Project Eve, and she is planned to be the prototype for a new race of women to replace flawed womanhood. He does not foresee the consequences of his plan, such is his obsession. He does create the perfect woman in body and mind, but when she acquires human characteristics his plan starts to unravel. Project Eve ends in disaster.

And So It Is

Struggling with the emotional aftermath of her husband’s death, Yvonne takes a sabbatical in an old French Villa. During the return journey to a demanding job, she enters the peace of the well-ordered Letour household only to find her presence creates chaos by arousing hidden emotions in Ricard and others as old, deeply buried wounds are opened. What are the secrets Ricard is hiding that keeps him estranged from his parents and impedes a potentially fulfilling relationship with Yvonne? What is the cause of the recurring dream, Suzanne, his daughter is experiencing? Two families, each with their own secrets, desires, ambitions, loves and hates try to come to terms with their own issues and hope for a happy outcome. But are all the outcomes beneficial for everyone, or is this a case of sometimes somethings are best left undisturbed?

An arc of light across the sky and shots fired from a U.S. Navy Blue Angel F/A-18 supersonic hornet fail to collide; the light vanishes from the sky, and the light energy of the android Lawrence streaks to the earth and into the labs of C&L Automation, straight to the alien disc brought previously from Mars.

Dr. Paul Linsdale, unaware of Lawrence’s return, celebrates the birth of his son, Lawrence Love Linsdale, and goes to congress to request approval and funding for a project that will quell the dangerous supervolcano in Yellowstone National Park.

Dr. Linsdale’s son, visiting C&L and exploring on his own, happens upon the alien disk. There he is enlisted by his namesake, Lawrence, to help him flee the planet he has saved twice. Now he seeks only to live in peace, far beyond the Milky Way, with Lilah, the elder care robot who loves him.

Is a nine-year-old boy up to the task? Can Lawrence finally succeed in his quest for true love? More important for Earth, can the Yellowstone be saved?

Another Day's Journey

We all go through journeys in our lives and often feel that we are on this journey alone. It is nice to know that the everyday ups and downs are the experiences that can make us or break us.
When we walk in someone else’s shoes for a bit we can sympathize, laugh, cry, agree or disagree and at that point know that we are not alone in this life’s journey. We keep going, we keep living, and we keep experiencing the journeys in our lives that make us who we aspire to be, who we want to be and who we are.
Look at your life and the journeys you are going through and think of all the roads to come, then realize that your past experiences are the things that motivate your future journeys. Love, peace, joy, and happiness are journeys that we should have every day. But we do not!
