WOW You want reality in a book? This is the book for you.
Starting off with a change of job from being a real estate agent who lost his job, car and everything that went with it, including the money.
A change of life was called for and started as a light hearted ‘wander’ into Marbella, sea, sand and sex being the only thing to worry about. It is a down right gritty autobiographical account of making some wrong choices in a different country.
Its fast, its gut wrenching and almost makes you puke at the thought of some of the things he went through.

The lies he had to endure the betrayal and violence he had to just manage through were appalling, along with some of the conditions he had to live in.
Knowing he had the love and help of his family was the only thing that kept him going, a lot of us don’t have that.

    “it’s only a mirror”

This might be a guy just telling his story but to be able to recall as much detail as he has in this book, it must be burnt into his mind for him to remember it as clearly and concisely as this.
Thank you for sharing this bold, scary part of your life.
Your mum was right you brought shame on her family but you went through more punishment than they would have ever given you.

A fantastic recollection of life in a hard place , you won't be disappointed , you are also ready to read 'Five Weeks' which IMHO is also ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A truly captivating story, as the author takes you on a journey to relive his past escapades. As it's a true story it makes it all the more gripping. There are times when you just want to shout out 'NO!' The writer lays bare his actions, and while some bad decisions were made, for the main part of the story he really ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Really well written, makes you want to not put the book down as you want to find out what happened next. My favourite book of the year so far, it may only be January but I'm confident that I will be saying the same thing still in December. I highly recommend.

I have read this book twice, it's that good. In fact, it gets better. One of the most edge of your seat reads I have had the pleasure in reading, and it's a true story. Has to be a movie!

"It was unsettling, the knowledge that a split second decision can completely change the course of someone's life........"
This was certainly a statement that represented David P. Perlmutter's true life account in "Wrong Place Wrong Time". So many wrongly made split second decisions that impacted on the rest of his life, especially when in the wrong place at the wrong time!!
This book is brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, I would highly recommend you try and read this in one sitting as it's very addictive.
All the way through this compelling read you feel you are with David every step of the way - from his everyday job in an estate agency to the unfortunate events that followed - feeling all his emotions from fear and guilt to shame and relief. There was so much build up of anticipation throughout, the fear and terror was palpable. As a parent of three teenage sons I'm now going to be dreading them taking their first holiday abroad with their mates!
Lots of varied characters make up this story some nice some not so nice, I particularly liked 'Son of Elvis' - what a great character he was. The harrowing account of the filthy, dark and dank police cells were very descriptive and I can't imagine the true horror David went through during those days with only orange peel to keep him company!
"Wrong Place Wrong Time" is a very exciting book with some cliffhanger moments leaving you wondering what will happen next and at times screaming at him 'don't do it!'
I would highly recommend you put this book on your to read list but perhaps best not read if you're on holiday in Spain.......

A high-octane roller coaster, movie material.
My first read by David P Perlmutter was ‘My Way Free - Trending on Twitter’, a hands on approach on how to market your book as an indie author filled with hands on techniques and real life advice. A no-nonsense book that delivers. It didn’t came to me as a surprise that Perlmutter kept his true, personal style when writing ‘Wrong Place Wrong Time.” You can only admire an author who can share so much of his personal life, gripping confessions and incredible sacrifice, with worldwide readers. This read is a roller coaster and it will keep you wanting to reach its end, fingers crossed for the protagonist! It would be interesting to see it made into a movie.

I was recommended this book and also seen it at my local Waterstones where I purchased the book and I'm so pleased that I became aware of this book as it is my BOOK OF THE YEAR so far and I have read many this year. I was gripped from the first page, I was taken in by he story and I was with the author right until the end. I can understand why this book is receiving many plaudits around the world.

I am now looking on Amazon to download his author books and can't wait to read them.

    5/5*****

Wow, where do I start? reading this book made me want to shout at David but hug him at the same time! how could someone who seemed to have everything throw it all away with one very stupid mistake.

Then, just as you think he has got his life back on track he decides to go and be a hero. He ends up getting accused of arson and manslaughter! He's just the unluckiest guy in the world who really was in the wrong place at the wrong time!

It's very honest descriptions of his unfortunate events is what keeps you turning the pages and makes the book impossible to put down.

I am left with a lot of questions after finishing the book. what happened after he got back to London? Did he ever have to go back to Spain? Did he ever see Emma or Rosa again? this doesn't mean the book has a bad ending, it shows that David has really connected with his readers.

If you enjoy true stories about nice guys who make silly choices then this is the perfect book for you. Even if you don't normally read this type of book I encourage you to read this one, you will not be disappointed!

Like many reviews, I just couldn't put this book down. I finished in two days and have recommended this book to many. As I read, I had the picture in my mind. I would love to see this on the big screen or even a series on Netflix or TV. Thumbs up to the author and now onto his other books, Five Weeks and 24 Hours In New York.
