Penny is a brave little cat, always up for an adventure. Her brother, Pip, is rather nervous and can be a bit silly. He looks permanently astonished and tends to get into scraps, the two of them hatch a plot to escape from their cat basket on the way to the vets. What will happen on their adventure? Have they bitten off more than they can chew?

Juliet Harmer trained as a primary school teacher at Homerton College, Cambridge. Her specialist age group was 5-7 year olds and her special subject was art. Juliet taught in London for 2 years before becoming a presenter on BBC schools television. She subsequently become an actress until 1970 when she moved to Gloucestershire to paint, write, and bring up her family. Juliet has always loved cats: the day she was leaving London she found a little black kitten in a box on her doorstep. He was the first of six black cats who have always been part of her life. This is Juliets first children’s book for 30 years. Her previous books are: The Little Go To Sleep Book (Collins), The Rocking Horse (Collins), Sophie’s Little Angel (Collins), and Prayers for Children (Heinemann).
