High school student, Perry Crabbe, is the school’s bully. Armed with a mullet haircut and a thick gold chain around his neck, Tintin Bailey, the charmless son of a notorious criminal, bullies international students.

Perry goes on holiday to the island of Bali. He meets small time criminal, Firas, who is in Tintin’s bad books for a deal that went wrong. Firas needs to take a mysterious parcel from Bali back to Tintin Bailey in Perth. He plans to make Perry carry it for him.

What is in the mysterious parcel? What happens when the knife-wielding locals meet Perry in a quiet alleyway? Will he make it home alive?

Jules Majeks was born in Suffolk, England. She now lives in sunny Perth, Western Australia and teaches English to high school students and newly- arrived migrants. Together with her Australian-African Prince, Jules has a blended family of ten children. She loves teaching reluctant teenage readers and listening to their stories. She is also a tarot reader. She has been reading the cards for decades and, unlike most people, they never lie to her.

Jules’ best companion during Covid isolation was her sewing machine. She creates quirky clothes which are mostly wearable. When offered the opportunity to teach more challenging students, Jules found short reads to engage these reluctant readers in short supply as are suitable texts for migrants learning English. The Son of Tintin Bailey is written for these purposes.
