Born in Birmingham, Zaheda spent the early part of her childhood testing her limits on the climbing frame in the park and pottering around with her uncle at his very own garden centre. It was here that her imagination blossomed during the quiet periods between customers. Zaheda told her parents that one day she would write books for youngsters that would make bedtime magical. Years later, she now lives in Leeds with her husband and two beautiful children. She is a dentist by day, reader of bedtime stories to her little ones by night. The latter has reignited her passion to become a children’s author. This is her first endeavour in the wonderful world of storytelling.
Wonderfully vibrant illustrations. My son is currently in reception year in primary school and is petrified of snails to the point where he had started to behave unkindly to them. This book means we have an inroad to talk about snails and also to proactively discuss the meaning of kindness. A clever book that could make a big difference to a lot of children’s understanding of the natural world around them. It had me and my husband giggling throughout!
