Based on his other background as a skilled craftsman, he has over the years maintained an interest in and performing craft and design. When he retired from lecturing, he devoted much of his time to creative hobbies, knife and bow and arrow making being among them. This book is the fruit of his passionate interest in combining craftsmanship with the study of the function of his most loved object of design: The classic English longbow and its ammunition: Traditionally made arrows.
