Ray Saunders has written many books, including his successful ‘Horsekeeping’ series, while he was running his own stud farm. He has also written several novels and his autobiography: How Lucky Can You Get. During the 1990s, Ray turned his attention to gardening, studying many rare and unusual plants as well as the more common varieties. He then landscaped and redeveloped his own three-acre garden, stocking it with many rare and unusual species together with the better-known ones, learning much from the plantsmen and nurserymen that he sought out for his plants. Also, being a keen photographer, he has taken photos of his many plants as the garden has matured. He now brings this book to illustrate to the reader the many different plants available to encourage and inspire them to improve and add colour and interest to their garden.
