Do you believe that you could convince your friends and family to work with you to prevent something really bad from happening? That’s exactly what Farmer Bo Crow did when he wanted to save his favourite tree and surrounding trees, from being chopped down!Come along and join Farmer Bo Crow and various bird species, his friends, as they create havoc for the poor human, the real farmer, who can’t understand why his normally calm and quiet life has been turned upside down! You’ll find in this story, the third from author, Janet Pattison-Lucas, a strong message about conservation, inclusion of birds with disabilities which is obviously meant to be extrapolated to people with disabilities being capable and valued members of society and portraying team work to achieve goals.Janet also touches on children reading. She wants to encourage children to read but understands it can be a struggle for some. She subtly points out that reading provides greater knowledge which gives power to people to achieve more with their life. Janet has given us a children’s book with a number of great and subtle messages but she has also included humour and humility. You will find that this story has an easy flow and will keep the reader enthralled until the very end.
Janet was born in Echuca, Victoria, Australia. Her father was a school teacher and she and her family spent every school holiday camping somewhere in Australia. Janet was raised to be at one with nature. She learned the names of birds and flowers and as a consequence feels more at home in the countryside or at the beach. Janet loves nature and feels renewed after spending a weekend out of Brisbane, where she has lived for many years and where her son was born.
