All toys know they have a Right Person. The person they should belong to, the person who will love them and take care of them.

When Hugo wakes up in Teddy Bear Wood, he knows he has to find the Right person, but he was made curious and everything is new, now he’s missed his train out of Toy Land. After almost becoming a lost toy he’s shown a path that, if he’s the right kind of bear, will take him to where he needs to be. He’s afraid, he’s only a very small bear after all. But along the way he’ll find the determination and courage he needs, meet friends and defeat foes, and by the time he gets to where he needs to be Hugo will have become Sir Hugo Bear. But he still needs to find the Right Person.

Simon O’Brien grew up the youngest of seven children. His mother was a voracious reader and passed that on to him. When he had children of his own, he began making up stories to tell them. He was persuaded to start writing these stories down and The Adventures of Sir Hugo Bear is the first one to be completed. Sir Hugo was a bear given to Simon by his daughters as a Father’s Day gift.

When Simon isn’t writing, he holds down a day job working for the Ministry of Justice. He also plays guitar, rides a 1300cc Honda motorcycle and walks his bulldog, Whisper.

I couldn't put it down, and I'm not a child.
