The author and his partner Denise have recently moved house, to live in Hertfordshire, on the edge of Ashridge Forest. He works for John Lewis, mainly from home, but still ventures into Central London a couple of days a week.
He’s an avid Arsenal fan and enjoys cross country running, pubs and Caribbean cooking; and of course, writing. His literary influences include the work of Ellis Peters, T H White, and the Welsh legends of the Mabinogion.
His dream is to be writing full time from a luxury cabin in the bottom of the garden and to see his work make it onto the big screen.
I don’t normally like Harry Potter type books, but this is more for grown ups as it can get dark; but this book is a little gem and kept me enthralled from start to finish. I can’t wait for Book 2 to come out.
If you do one thing today, buy this book!
Brilliant story (bit Harry Potterish), kept me enthralled from cover to cover. Roll on part two!
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Just too short! I'm looking forward to seeing the characters develop in the next one and how the plot weaves itself together. Definitely worth a read!
This book was recommended by a friend and it doesn’t disappoint. In this book Faeries can be dark and malevolent, not the pretty, and dressed in flowers. This is the first of three books, I believe, ( my friend does know the author), each about 250 pages; which makes it a substantial tale.
There is a haunting beauty about the prose and found the text very moving. It could easily be turned into Pixar as it runs at a relentless speed, but your never out of breath. Well done to the author.
Great read and couldn't put the book down
