Simon Longe was born in Berkshire in 1946. After receiving his education at Wellington College, he spent most of his life in London or Norfolk.
After stints in agriculture and the wine trade, he worked for various property companies in Central London, Spain, the West Country and East Anglia. He used to live on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
