Loved this read! Loved it for many reasons but most of all because it focused on a married couple trying to have a baby for many years and eventually succeed! It also focused on a hunter who had many pressures of either making ends meet, living up to the title he was given and also becoming a father.
The book is based in the village in a Yoruba land which also brought me back to my routes. Not only was the book an entertaining read, it was also educational. Learning more about the culture and the way things were done made me enjoy the book that much more!
What an incredible read! Set in Nigeria, Aiyes’s debut novel navigates through a young man’s journey to self-discovery. If you pick up this book be sure to be ready for bursts of laughter, blushing paragraphs, clever takes and cultural nuggets.
