  I am not a great reader of fiction, but as this book was recommended to me, I decided to buy it and give it a go. I have to admit that I really enjoyed reading it and couldn't put it down! Although there was lots going on in the story, I found it easy to follow, and found the characters very believable. Part-way through the book, which seemed to be about a very normal teenager growing up in the country, the story took a totally unexpected turn, with no clue as to how it was going to end.
  I can thoroughly recommend the book.

  I really enjoyed My Story. A charming window on the past - no social media or mobile phones in the '70s - but the teenage narrator, Lizzy May, is a highly relatable character for contemporary young (and not so young) adults. I was drawn in to the mystery she has to uncover, but this is more than a whodunnit. Beyond the level of plot, it's also a story of self-discovery, values and the importance of forgiveness. A pleasurable "easy" read but in no way light and frothy! I loved the character of Aunty Cath and her back story...a great role model for young women.

  An engaging and very enjoyable tale of a teenager growing up in the 1970's. As the plot unfolds I found I was reading more and more every night, not having a clue where the story was going but needing to find out.
  My Story is a wonderful slice of simpler times, unencumbered by constant technology. A story with people and values at its heart which is as relevant to those growing up in the 2020's as it is a great little escape for those old enough to remember those days.
