As we celebrate World Smile Day, what better book to read than one about Pip, the tooth fairy!
This is a lovely, magical book to share with your young readers.
When Harris and Faith are playing in fairy woods one day, Faith thinks she spots a fairy door in the old oak tree.
Harris doesn't believe but when they leave a note and it receives a reply, they start to see the world a little differently.
I loved reading stories about fairies when I was younger. And this one is beautifully written and presented.
I feel like this is definitely one to read with younger children, rather than have them read it themselves, as there are lots of words - but it's a lovely one for story time, to read aloud.
With lots of colourful illustrations, there is a lot going on to prompt more discussion - I especially love how the fairy door changes - a great one to see if your youngster has spotted the differences.
I really love how this promotes getting outside to play and to use your imaginations. An early prompt to help the children see what joys there can be outdoors and away from the screens all day.
A great quick read and joy to share
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of this author's work so far. They have a natural flair for writing such fun and imaginative tales that children love, with this one being no exception!
It's thrilling to think that fairies might be real, and this lovely, whimsical read makes the idea feel even more plausible. I can imagine it inspiring lots of play and creativity as children use it as a springboard to write their own fairy letters and construct enchanting places for them to reside.
For young readers who love fairies, this book will be a delight. For those who aren't sure about the idea of fairies, it might just change their mind! Either way, it will make a wonderful addition to any child's library.
Meeting Pip is an adorable story. I love love love it! As I was reading this magical story about fairies to my two little boys, even I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. In this children’s book, two kids write a letter to a fairy and to their surprise they get a letter back. The story has wonderful illustrations, and is full of color to draw the reader in. Meeting Pip is imaginative, heartfelt, and would make a wonderful book for the little ones in your life. Although this would be a lovely gift at any time – I think it would be a great read when your little one loses a tooth or if you ever plan to make a fairy garden near your home!
