This very personal and moving love story takes us from the anticipation of the very first date through to the moment of the very last breath. It encompasses sheer joy, romance, fortitude and sadness. But love and memories live on forever because this is a Love Beyond Love. Jan Smith (a friend)

Russell Webb, was born in a suburb on the outskirts of East London within the county of Essex. As an adult he moved away, but kept his connections with his hometown where he continues to serve the community, working as a London Firefighter.

He never planned to become an author, however, he found writing about his experiences as a child and later about the untimely death of his wife really helped with his grieving process. He hopes that his story will help and encourage others to talk about their grief and loved ones. It’s okay not to be okay!

It would be impossible to give this book anything other than a five star review because it is such a moving account of the grieving process and it has been written from the heart. Although it deals with unbearable sadness, it is also very much a love story which celebrates the joy of the relationship and its importance in the author’s life. It will appeal to anyone who enjoys a true story and may well bring comfort to people in a similar situation by letting them know that others have managed to battle through their darkest days and found the strength to carry on.

Unlike anything I've read before, so relatable, you hear how ordinary people cope with the most extraordinary events, poignant yet full of unexpected joy. An uplifting, unforgettable book.

Lovely book well written. So sad and tragic and unfair cancer is very cruel. Sharon was an amazing lady such a fighter and I am glad she and Russell found each other albeit for a short time. Wishing Russell the best for the future.

I saw the book advertised and as it was written by a widower I thought that it would be good to get a perspective of a man's loss. Coupled with the fact that the book proceeds were for such a good cause after all £10.00 is neither here nor there these days!! We girls are so good at voicing our feelings that I thought for a man it would be a challenge. Russell really steps up to it, the book is moving. I really thought it may be depressing to sample the loss of the love of your life but Russell tackles it in a positive and thoughtful way. Two ordinary people meet and fall in love later in life only to find that their time together is short-lived and challenging. Russell tries hard to let the reader escape with stories of travels but all the time one is waiting for the crux of the story. So much of Russell and Sharon's travels resonates with myself and my deceased husband's places that we had visited and somehow it helped with the color of the story because I could visualize the places. It's an easy read and many will identify with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis as it in some way touches all lives at some point, unfortunately.
