What a wonderful adventure travel read. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book. Part one was my favorite, especially the South American travels as it was in a period of time when there was no internet or phones to google your way around the world and it took me back to my first 6-month backpacking trip in 1989 where all we had was a shoestring guide book.

Pamela was very good at explaining the smallest of details and also making us fall in love with some fabulous characters she met on her travels.
I really hope she writes another book for the other countries she mentioned but didn’t make it into this book.
