When sixteen years old, Mirabel, Josh, Sarah, and Robbie set out to explore the derelict Wheal Penrin Cornish tin mine, they have no idea of the hair-raising adventures that lie ahead.

Their challenging experiences begin when they see a large and incredibly fast-moving, bright object zooming across the moorland sky above their destination. Is it a UFO?

At the old mine workings, they encounter a weirdly dressed stranger who is desperate to recruit their help. He is the leader of a team of alien explorers who are stranded in their underground Earth base. They are all doomed to die unless a missing member of their team can be found and some stolen equipment recovered.

A death-defying leap through a space-time portal into a place of horror sets the brave teenagers on the first step of their adventures.

This unpredictable, adventure-packed journey is aided by unexpected and helpful encounters along the way, which assist them in their hunt to find the missing Kronam and recover the vital missing electronic components.

Throughout their adventures, they bravely confront a series of dangerous challenges in their determination to complete their mission.

They have only fourteen days to save the lives of the alien team and see them safely launched on their homeward journey.

This is an exciting alien manhunt set against incredible difficulties for the brave team.

Margaret Harland-Suddes was educated at Durham Girls’ Grammar School and Durham University, followed by a long and successful academic career. She has also been involved in voluntary support work with victims of domestic abuse. She writes in the genres of biography, poetry, short stories, and YA fiction.

Her latest work, Finding Kronam, is a gripping, action-packed, YA sci-fi adventure story set in Cornwall.

Her poetry anthology, Kaleidoscope, is presented as six aspects of: the sea, war, love, nature, life, and humour; and it includes reflections based upon her own Northumbrian heritage.

Among her other published work is Psychopython, a biographical trilogy in which she explores the real-life experiences and traumas of female domestic abuse – a subject upon which she writes graphically and with insightful clarity.
