Broken Tractors

This is a short story that can be read by a parent to their children or by a slightly older child to themselves. It tells the story of two selfish tractor drivers who each think they have priority over the other, and finish up making things difficult for themselves as they end up having to do a lot of extra work during their free time. This tells us that everyone is important and that no one is better than anyone else.

Ann D Ballantyne was brought up on a farm and although the stories in this book are not based on herself, they are true to her farm experience and love of her neighbouring farmers. She was an only child and the workers on the farm were two males from the village. So she seldom mixed with the other children apart from her days at school.
