A young, bored and confused teenager is thrown into an adventurous world that he believes only existed in dreams and fairy-tale books. Henry is destined to become the next host master and to lead the everlasting fight between the darkness and the light. The Wyvern, an ancient creature of mythical powers and defender of all things living, has to find a host to be able to dwell in this world, and unfortunately for Henry, it chooses him to be its host.

After his encounter with Bert and the odd dog, Ben, in the woodlands surrounding his home town of Whitchurch, Henry’s life changes beyond all recognition and could never be the same again; as well as finding his first and only true love, he is told that his mother and his aunt, Sophia, had hidden from him the fact that they were not human but creatures of nature and guardians of the light and as such commanded great powers. Henry has to grow up fast and find the strength to face up to both his own demons as well as those sent by the shadow master, a powerful sorcerer, who has the power and the aid from dark allies to destroy all life and spread darkness across the world.

Having taken early retirement, Paul now lives in a small, picturesque village situated in rural Hampshire England. An engineer by trade, Paul worked his way up from the shop floor to eventually become Managing Director of his own company. His career gave him the opportunity to travel the world extensively, mainly to the middle east but also to many other exciting and exotic countries.

Having dyslexia Paul has struggled with the written word for most of his life. However, he has never allowed it to hold him back from achieving any of his goals and hopes that his own success would help encourage others with learning difficulties to reach their own potential. Being a qualified conservationist and a true lover of nature as well as being an avid reader of fiction, especially his favourite author Terry Brooke, has helped him in his inspiration for writing. Paul has tried to bring both his obsession with nature and love for fiction into his novels, hoping to share his own passions with his readers.
