This story shows a great way to teach the environmental message of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’! Maisie, the Spacegirl, comes to Earth in a spaceship that works on kindness and joy, not fuel! She meets Barra, Cairn, and their insect friends and tells them how to help the planet and its people. It’s a lovely story that children will like a lot!
Noreen A. Hickey has spent many years working in education, initially as a career adviser and then as a primary teacher. She went on to establish her own private tutoring business, working in Europe and the US. Eventually, she rekindled her personal love of writing, with several poetry books and various articles published. Much of her inspiration is taken from the beauty of Scotland and Ireland, and from the many wonderful people she has met on her journey through life.
