When Beatrice unexpectedly joins Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force on a whim, she soon realises she has bitten off more than she can chew.

Why is she the only woman in the training unit?

Why is there so much snobbery, and so many illogical archaic rules to fathom?

Why does she stick out like a sore thumb, and when will she be able to escape?

Anne joined the Royal Air Force at age 17 and enjoyed a career in engineering for many years. She then followed her love of the built environment, working on many varied and complex projects in the UK Construction Industry. Anne has had the pleasure of working with some of the most wonderful people, in the toughest circumstances. Through this experience as well as her travels, she has gained an understanding of how complicated, or how simple life can be. She now resides in Essex with her family but remains passionate about many places she has lived and makes trips as often as she can to Liverpool, Scotland and Devon to name a few.

Oh, Bee, you grabbed my heart!
A wing and a prayer are one of the first books I’ve read in one without putting it down! I laughed, cried and laughed again!
An unexpected twist on romance, I can’t wait for part 2!!!

What can I say about this book, it has everything. It also brings to life what life in characterisation what life is like in a total man's world and the ups and downs that brings to a young woman who likes to take chances, stuck in an institution she doesn't conform to. So take a chance and read it won't disappoint.

A great read, well balanced and which brought out every emotion. I laughed frequently, I cried hard, and the challenges of being a woman in a man’s world became real. Bee is inspiring, and the love shared comes only once in a lifetime. Looking forward to the sequel.
