Aida Luz Rodríguez-Colón was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico. She attended the County College of Morris in New Jersey and the University of Puerto Rico, where she obtained her PhD. She has studied British, American, and Caribbean fiction. She has published various papers that have brought these areas of study together. Right now, she is a retired teacher and a happy grandmother. Besides reading and writing, she loves crafting, sewing, crocheting, gardening and cooking. She is a proud mother and grandmother.
