A Christmas Candle is a symbol of hope.Ten-year-old Jake lives with his parents in the countryside, and his grandfather lives close by. Jake encounters a snowstorm on his way to fulfil his promise to deliver some wood to his grandfather and gets lost.Jake learns quickly about the magic of Christmas, familial love, having hope even in trouble, and the possibilities that abound when one believes with all of one’s heart.

Lise M. Bedard is a Canadian who was born and raised in the North End of Sudbury, Ontario, called the Flour Mill. She still lives there and is a long-standing parishioner at St Jean de Brebeuf church. She is fluent in French and English. She has three children and grandchildren whom she keeps very close by. From an early age, she loved to read and write. A Christmas Candle is her second children’s book. Her first children’s book was ROO.
