Witching You a Spooktacular Halloween

Witching You a Spooktacular Halloween

The time of year has arrived where dressing up as scary characters, walking the streets and asking strangers for sweets becomes acceptable and more than anything fun for all ages! Largely celebrated in the US, the mystery and excitement surrounding the holiday have rippled across the pond with an increasing amount of trick or treaters haunting the streets of the UK.

It is a period where creativity is celebrated, whether it’s planning your outfit to ensure you look the spookiest at the party, practising your apple bobbing skills or perfecting your scary voice to tell a horror story!

The question is, why are we so interested in the things which scare us the most?

The scientific reason is, when your brain recognises the danger and fear, it causes our bodies to produce a whole range of hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. For some people, just making it the whole way through a scary movie or haunted house gives them an exciting confidence boost or sometimes you are just a thrill seeker in search of intense activities.

With COVID-19 putting a halt on some of the spooky spectaculars such as Halloween Horror nights this year, we have compiled a few of our scary stories which are designed to satisfy your scare and excitement needs.
