Seek Solace on Winter Solstice

If you’ve seen today’s Google Doodle, or if you’re in tune with Mother Nature, or you’ve simply looked at your calendar, then you may know that today is winter solstice. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it is shortest day of the year. With the darkness outside creeping up on us so quickly today, we have come up with a brilliant solution for keeping in the light and we think the bookworms out there will particularly appreciate this one.

Reading - we have curated a small list of just a few of our releases from 2015 for you to get lost in so that you won’t even notice the early dusk.

1. "Pringles, Visas and a Glow in the Dark Jesus" by Sharon Cracknell

Sharon Cracknell’s “Pringles, Visas and a Glow in the Dark Jesus” is a light-hearted travel memoir, packed with some unbelievable accounts.

Sharon first set off to Indonesia in 2004, teaching English abroad. Complications with visas and corrupt officials led to stints in an Indonesian police station – Sharon scarcely avoided a 5-year prison sentence before escaping to Singapore with a sigh of relief and just in time for Christmas.
