CHILDREN'S ART WEEK 2022 – LET’S GET COLOURING!

CHILDREN'S ART WEEK 2022 – LET’S GET COLOURING!

It’s Children’s Art Week, which is being celebrated from the 29th June to 19th July. Children’s Art Week is celebrated every year, encouraging children and young people nationwide to participate in art events in schools as well as online. It is an initiative by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, that has also gained the support of Arts Council England and other art councils countrywide. In the past years, Children's Art Week has made remarkable contributions in bringing artists and communities together to involve people particularly children in arts. We want children to explore their creative and artistic side with colouring. Not only is colouring a great way for children to express themselves, but there’s a number of additional benefits to colouring from a young age such as:

  • Encourages Patience and Relaxation
  • Help to Relieve Stress
  • Helps with Concentration
  • Assists with Language Development
  • Developing Motor Skills
  • Improve Handwriting Skills
  • Encourage Colour Recognition
  • Promote Creativity
