Today and Yesterday

This beautifully written poetry book seeks to balance the modern and the traditional, the real and the dreamlike, \'today and yesterday.\' It\'s up to the reader to decide to what extent this is accomplished.

I must say poetry isn’t really a go-to for me, but some of the poems in this were just absolutely beautiful. Not only were they lovely words, but they were also so cleverly written. My dad is a fan of poetry and I’ve lent him this to give it a try and see what he thinks, I just know he will love it as much as I did! One for my keeper shelf for sure

I have owned this insightful poetry book for several months. It has given comfort, induced tears and stimulated thoughtful reflection in equal measure. A gem to be enjoyed and treasured for sure. Thank you to the author David McMichael.

This book has made me chuckle like I haven\'t in years - the poems Miss Hargreaves and DIY Derek bought the characters to life while Mr Tomlinson had me laughing out loud. This book is a keeper.

This is not just another poetry book but a beautiful guide for personal empowerment and positive leadership action in every area of your life.

This is a truly lovely book - a book that is really needed for our times. Each poem is uplifting, teaches readers to think about who they are, and provides tools to ground and buttress against life’s challenges. It is a great book that everyone can read and take something positive away with them. I simply loved it. Would highly recommend it!!

Inciting Change

This heartwarming collection of poems is a ray of hope for the readers that one can conquer adversity with the proper support, love, and timely opportunities.

THIS... It absolutely melted my heart so many of these poems are about the minorities in society. The poet opens up about her life being homeless and how much her life has changed. It’s extremely touching and motivational! Loved it!

A lovely set of poetry that uses faith and inspiration to discuss adversity and hardship; the poems are equally hard-hitting and filled with hope. I really enjoyed this quote- ‘Remind yourself how far you’ve come’ from ‘Rosa’.

Mettle & Flesh

This amazing poetry book encompasses observations on life and how we see ourselves within it.

The poetry is so raw with emotions, and yet deep with complexity. This book takes you on a journey and an insight into the thoughts of the author. It had me intrigued, and moved to tears at other times. This is one book not to be missed and a great addition to the Christmas stocking.

This collection of poems reminds its readers that kindness matters- kindness to self and others. It reminds us that we all experience challenging moments and that we can and will get through them. By asking us to reflect - it enables us to understand we are often more resilient than we think. Clear, short easy to remember when you need most them in your life. Written over a period of years, now together in a wonderful collection that can help get you through.
