Black Themed Black Friday Deals!
The term ‘Black Friday’ has been said to derive from a time of year in the 1950’s when the general public flocked out into the streets the day after thanksgiving for a football game, creating carnage in Philadelphia. Police officers were not allowed to take the day off work and were forced to work long hours to control this. Consequently, they named the day ‘Black Friday’. That being said, there have also been many other theories as to where this term has come from, and what events also occurred around this time of year in order for the day after Thanksgiving to get this name. You can check out all of the theories behind the term ‘Black Friday’ here.
