Yogi Brahmasamhara
Brahm was born in Australia, grew up in the far outback and currently lives and teaches in Sydney.
After five years training in Raja Yoga (meditation) with an Indian Yogi, Misra Bashayandeh, and then three years on both a residential and visiting basis in a Japanese monastery with Zen Master and monk, Suni Kaisan of Kyoto, Brahm has since practised Zen meditation for more than 40 years, teaching it full-time for the past 20 as he himself is also now a Zen Master. He has established several Meditation Sanctuaries in Australia in which he guides hundreds of students in Zen meditation each year.
With a gentleness of being, he brings to his teaching and writings a deep understanding of Zen, an intuitive insight into people and life, and a true loving kindness to others.
He has five children and is a sought-after speaker by health groups, corporate organizations, women’s groups, libraries, bookstores and various festivals on Zen meditation and its application to enhance one’s experience of life.
He is the author of the best-selling book on Zen meditation, Awakening and, more recently, Meditation for Motherhood, Gentle Zen Meditation for Conception, Pregnancy and Birth, published in Australia, the USA and France.
