Vicki is a mum of two and has been teaching in primary schools for over 17 years. Her hobbies include gardening and reading. Vicki first began writing for her own children both for fun and, when needed, to help tackle a challenge such as moving home and the pressure of school tests. The combination of success using her stories at home, and the needs of her various classes which were not being met by other sources, led to her writing books to use in schools, to support topic learning and help children understand, relate to and become enthusiastic about new subjects.
