Ava Vasileva
Ava Vasileva was born in Sofia in 1984. She grew up in Bulgaria. After obtaining a degree in Law, she went on a journey to Southern France where she studied languages and life. Currently she teaches English in France and travels regularly home to Bulgaria. The place that inspired A Very Mice Village is her grandfather’s village located at the foot of Vitosha mountain, where she spent plenty of time as a child.
Ava Vasileva is the author of To Borrow a Tulip, a collection of short stories for adults. The children’s stories in this book, written in rhymes, were created on her way to school and in the classroom, on a day when her teenage students didn’t come because they had decided to go on holiday earlier.
