Susan Skinner

Susan Skinner (pseudonym Susan Holliday) is a writer, teacher, calligrapher and printmaker. She has published four collections of poetry and her poems have appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies. Her agent (not for poetry) is Lesley Pollinger of Paper Lion Ltd. who has enabled Susan to publish a number of children’s novels.

She has had a wide career in education, ranging from art teacher in a hospital school to creative writing tutor and lecturer.

Susan has a big family as she and her husband took on her sister’s four children when her sister died at a young age.

She has three children of her own, five grand-children and three great-grand-children.

She now lives in a very friendly village, alone with her inspiring but time-consuming dog, Alfie, who does not go for walks but sniff-along, giving his mistress time to write haikus in her head!

Susan has always been fascinated by the world about her, the people in all their complexity, the countryside’s history and its natural beauty. She also finds reading a great solace and joy.
