Anna Sloman-Gower

Anna Sloman-Gower has always loved writing and whilst still at school had articles and poems published in the local press. Anna’s creative work is inspired by the people and cultures she has encountered over the years and she has published a range of articles about travel experiences. Whilst teaching at a university in Morocco, the BBC broadcast her short story Abdul’s Bananas about a young boy from a poor family trying to win himself a bride through playing music. Her previous book, Rawny, My Gypsy friend, drew on her own childhood memories. Tempting Fate: For God or Gold was inspired both by her study of South American history and her visits to South America.
