Jacqueline was born at 45 Stadium Street, Chelsea, London, UK, in 1947. When she was 12 years old, her family immigrated to Australia and resided in a migrant hotel.

Recently, she had not been going through a good time and her grandfather came to her in a dream and told her to write this story and that it would be published. She told him, “I would not remember it all,” and he said, “Yes, you will.”
