The author grew up in Stepney, East London, and stayed there until the age of 9, then moved to East Ham. He moved to Wickford, Essex, when he was 13. He lives with his parents. He supports Arsenal FC, went to junior gunners, doesn't like dogs. He does not smoke or drink, likes collecting things related to games, dragons and skeletons. He also has dyslexia.
