Robbie Henderson
On completion of her initial studies at the Australian National University, Robbie worked as a teacher, a biochemist, a political activist and a feminist activist in Australia and the United Kingdom culminating in her election as a member of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Legislative Assembly. Thirty years working in the non-government sector and the New South Wales (NSW), Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Australian governments followed. In 2004 she joined Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) as an advisor to the Solomon Islands’ Prime Minister and Head of the Cabinet Office, and in 2008, she worked as an advisor to the national police (PNTL) in Dili, Timor-Leste. Robbie now lives in Canberra with her husband and works in the public sector. She has two adult children and four grandchildren.
